AIR

Air

takes shape
in the form
of clouds
and drifts away
without a sound
as I stand here
upon the ground—
spellbound.

Thoughts

Mountains and sky
catch my eyes
while I wait for the sunrise

to bring life
and new ways,
and light to our days,

so the flowers

can smile

and the birds
can play…

I Must Say

I must say I love you, you gave it all for me.

I must say I love you
for dying on the tree.

I know it pleases You
when I’m humble in my soul,
when I give You my burdens,
when I give up my control.

I must say I love you
for all You say and do.

You lift up my spirit as you take away my blues

I must say I love you,
no one loves the way you do

You always walk beside me and I know your path is true

I must say I love you, for making me so new

The Potter’s Wheel

The Potter’s Wheel
The
potter’s wheel goes round and round,
the clay He holds
was lost
and is now found.

He spins and slaps it,
sometimes pounds;
with love He molds it—
results so profound.

And when the clay asks why,
with dizziness,
with pain,
with trouble and scars,
a life never too far
from breaking—

a voice is heard,
gentle and kind:

Be patient,
My child.
This will end
in glory so fine…

But for now,
rest in My love,
with peace from on high.

The World’s Only Light

Born in a stable,
filled with God’s grace,
a life lived for others
with mercy and faith. Looking to Heaven for
wisdom and might—
Yes, He is
the world’s only Light. Now that I know Him,
there’s so much to say;
His love and His mercies
are new every day. Watching and waiting
for what lies ahead,
Yes, I believe
every word He has said. Yes, I love
how I’m fed—
Born in a stable…

Out Of And Into

You plucked me out of the fire, Lord,
and placed me on higher ground.
Unworthy as I am, dear Lord,
I know that Your grace abounds.
Create a greater miracle,
make me just like Thee.
Save me from myself, dear Lord—
do Your will in me.

Plant me like an old oak tree

The Seed

People are people, generally,
until you find the one
who uncovers the seed
that grows into a tree—
releasing the love
within you
to be.

Wonder

Have you ever wondered
How the years go by,

Like white clouds
In a light, bright blue sky.

Many things are learned and done,
Some bring pain, and others bring fun.

Yes, I think of the blessings
That passed me by,
And I think there is more
That I can make mine.

But as time flies by
And the ages move on,

Some bring joy,
And others annoy.

So let us be mindful
Of the times in our lives,
To use them wisely,
As a wise man reminds:

Yesterday has passed,
And tomorrow is not ours.
But be of good cheer—
Heaven is near.

My Mirror Talks Back

Day by day, as time goes by,
I look in the mirror and how do I shine

There’s many things that I can see,
Just what is the image that I perceive

So what do I say, or what do I do

To the inner man that can be quite rude?

I can’t let it lead me
to that inner dark road.

And oh, I’m being molded Into a much nicer mood.

My Wife

My wife is the love of my life,
she makes things peaceful and bright.

I’m blessed to have her within my site,
and yes, without her my life would be not as right.

My wife is trustworthy,
hard working, not idle.
She possess good judgement.

Also she’s full of generosity.
She’s wise and compassionate,
with strength for family and friends.

A virtuous wife is a gift from God.

To See

I have hope today through Jesus,
Who gave it all for me.
When my life was lost in turmoil
He helped that I might see

That I can be a wonderful living key, to help someone in need.
